Behind our successful website, a small team of passionate individuals are the heartbeat of eCycleDirect. We think it’s important customers know they are dealing with real people so let’s meet the team!
Nisha
Nisha is our accounts wizard and joined the team in 2023.
She works remotely from Bristol and featured in one of our recent marketing campaign videos filmed there too.
Nisha was originally born and raised in West London. She has been in the numbers game for the last 29 years, and so brings with her a wealth of experience. When Nisha is not crunching numbers, she spends her time as “mum” to her 2 youngs boys aged 11 & 8 – no wonder she is a great multi tasker!!
Nisha loves her music and is particularly into her R&B and hip hop, although she likes a lot of mainstream music too.
Sam
Sam joined the cycle industry in 2021 after achieving his degree in sports communications.
He started with Bike Services UK within the warehouse and now operates as the warehouse & website coordinator for eCycleDirect and is our customer service guru too. Sam takes all the photographs and provides descriptions for all our bikes online.
Sam has had a passion for sport growing up playing for professional academies in football but has found joy within the cycling community helping new and experienced riders.
If you contact us via the website, it’s almost inevitable you will speak to Sam.
Matt
Matt was born in Australia but grew up in South London. He got into cycling whilst still at school, racing bikes as well as fixing them up and selling them. He started work in a bike shop after leaving school and has been in the cycle business ever since. During this time he has owned and run several bike shops in London.
Matt is one of the most experienced bike mechanics in the country having worked for some of the largest brands since 2007. He is currently head mechanic overseeing the workshop for eCycleDirect.
He has raced bikes all over Europe but now just cycles for fitness. He loves all kinds of music and attends as many gigs as he can. His favourite musician is Prince and he really likes eating!
James
James began his career working in record shops in the early nineties before moving into music sales for the UK’s biggest independent distributor. After the fun went out of the business when everyone starting downloading James set up a media and publishing company before entering the bike industry in 2012, founding British Bike Hire. His company specialised in renting large volumes of bikes for public and corporate cycle and triathlon events.
James joined The Electric Transport Group in 2023 to run Bike Services UK, the logistics and warehouse operation whilst also supplying bikes on lease to the hospitality trade. He now oversees the day to day operation of eCycleDirect too.
A social cyclist and keen golfer James loves the outdoors and enjoys cooking.
Paul
Paul has worked in the cycle industry since 2010 when he opened his own cycle shop. He ran that until 2016 and then took a break from cycling before coming back to work for The Electric Bike Shop. He is now their Head of IT and oversees the technical operation of eCycleDirect.
He built and maintains our website including writing all of our Newsletter articles using his extensive cycling experience.
Paul raced bikes for 25 years but now spends his time riding, writing his blog and organising gravel rides.
