Spotlight: Our Ready to Ride Delivery Service
It’s a sad fact that at some point we have all had an item we ordered online either go missing or arrive damaged by a courier. It seems part and parcel of their business (pun intended!) Bikes, in particular, Electric Bikes are a challenge for traditional couriers due to their box size and weight. Throw in a bit of poor packaging and rough handling and damage becomes much too common on bikes that may cost the price of a small, second hand car. If a customer is lucky enough to receive their bike undamaged let’s not forget customers then have to build the bike themselves too. At eCycleDirect we have sought to address this problem, and, in turn, add value to the service by exploiting and enhancing this niche by offering a Ready to Ride delivery service.
Our Ready to Ride service is a premium, white glove delivery by our partner Bike Services UK. In addition to ensuring your bike is taken care of during transit, they will deliver it fully built, configured and tested. On top of that, customers receive a brief handover of their new bike from a trained driver to include the following:
- Position setup (saddle height, steering & controls)
- Turning your bike on and off
- Display unit and controller operation
- Battery charging and removal
- Gear operation
To be able to offer this level of service, we don’t do next day delivery . Additionally, some outlying areas of the UK may attract a small surcharge. Our aim is to deliver your bike at a time that is convenient to you within a week of placing your order up to a maximum of 14 days. We believe the quality of delivery is more important than speed.

We contact customers personally to arrange their delivery date and time. We provide LIVE tracking information and the driver will contact you on the day of delivery. If anything changes, we promise to let you know ASAP.
- Eligibility for a Ready2Ride delivery is automatically calculated at the checkout based on your post code.
- On the Map, Zone A (green) is Free Delivery and there are small surcharges for Zone’s B (orange) & C (yellow)
- For Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight and the Scottish Isles that don’t qualify, instead we can courier your bike in a box.
- We don’t deliver to the Channel Islands or ship outside the UK.
