Claud Butler

Claud Butler

The history of Claud Butler can be traced back nearly 100 years.  Synonymous with the world of mountain biking, this famous UK brand also offers quality bikes suitable the daily commute and weekends exploring.

Claud Butler was a professional cyclist in the 1920s. He opened his first shop in Battersea, London in 1928 and by 1935 had five branches. By the 1960s Claud Butler had become part of the Holdsworth group and that remained so until 1987.

Falcon acquired the Holdsworth and Claud Butler names in February 1987. These acquisitions brought with them a change to volume production. These brands were reserved for the premium frames in the new range.

Their Bikes are built with quality and value in mind. You can be assured that their experience and progressive approach to development results in bikes that are practical and most of all, fun to ride.

All of their bikes are designed in the UK, for UK riders and conditions.  They have a passion for cycling, and hope that comes across on each and every bike they’ve designed.
